Prayer for the Week:
You – Holy One
whisper to us
sing to us
disclose to us
unveil to us
The Who is important
The Why is key
while the What
is inescapably tied
to the Who and the Why
If what we hear
does not resemble
who you are
-the God of Love-
and does not reinforce
why you act
-because you love us-
then let us listen
a bit more closely
You love us
You love creation
You love all humanity
You are love
embodied love
sharing love
Help us
to do the same
Help us
to be love
formed in love
for the purpose of love
All because you loved us first
Amen.
