Prayer for the Week: We offer our prayer to you, O God of Miracles. Today, we do not pray for the little things, though they are deserving of our attention and our best wishes. Today, we bring our focus upon those things that deeply trouble the world, grieving the hearts of those of us who believe in the value of every single person. For those who have known the suffering of war and witnessed violence committed against the most vulnerable, we name these concerns, O God of Peace. For those who feel the ache from a lack of nourishment, we speak their concerns, O God of Justice. For those who have felt the brunt of hatred that seeks to diminish their value as members of the divine family, we acknowledge their concerns, O God of Redemption. Sometimes the big stuff in this world leaves us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain about our ability to make a difference. Yet you are the worker of miracles, and in our partnership with you, the concerns of many find advocacy and transformative hope. This is the prayer we offer to you. Amen.
