ECCLESIOLOGICAL ETCHINGS

Prayer for the Week: It is so easy to forget; so easy to be distracted; so easy to allow our emotions to get the best of us. Gracious God, the Gospel is unambiguous in regard to what you hold as your primary value. It is love, beyond some self-serving love this culture attempts to pass off as holy. It is love, a love lavishly poured out upon every person, every corner of creation. It is love, a love that shows genuine concern for the marginalized and the poor. It is love, yet the Jesus of our faith appears to have been seized by those who seek to use him for what is violent, hateful and self-serving. It is time for revival, a revival where your Spirit guides hearts and minds toward the Love First Life. It is time for revival, a revival where people are saved from the demonic forces who use fear as their primary tool. It is time for revival, a revival where the Gospel’s primary value is celebrated and lived. It is time for revival, and we ask that it begin with us. Amen.
