ECCLESIOLOGICAL ETCHINGS
September 15, 2025 Prayer for the Week: A Prayer for the Greater Houston Disciples of Christ Gracious and Loving God, You who gather us from many places and call us one body We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and longing. In a world often divided, You call us to unity. Bind us together in love that transcends difference, In purpose that reflects Your justice, And in hope that refuses to let go. For those among us who grieve Losses spoken and unspoken Be our comfort and our strength. Wrap us in Your healing presence, And remind us that even in sorrow, we are not alone. For those who are weary, Renew our faith. For those who are joyful, Deepen our gratitude. For those who are searching, Be the still, small voice that leads them home. May our churches be places of welcome, Our hands be instruments of healing, And our voices rise in witness to Your love. Unite us, O God, In the Spirit of Christ, That we may be a people of peace, A community of courage, And a movement of grace. In the name of Jesus, Who breaks bread with all, Amen. Rev. Dr. Darren Phelps Community Regional Minister Christian Church in the Southwest
