ECCLESIOLOGICAL ETCHINGS

Prayer for the Week: O Spirit grace and wisdom, patience and creativity, today we give you thanks for all those who have been called and then accepted that call to serve you in the indispensable task of teaching. Sadly, there are many powers and principalities that are not supportive of those who give so much to the education of our children, often putting more and more obstacles between educators and the good work they have been called to do. We are thankful for the tenacity and faithfulness of all those who work alongside our children, even when there are unnecessary burdens placed on the work. May our gratitude manifest itself in tangible expressions of support, including our willingness to help remove the obstacles that place additional stress on what is an already difficult job. This we pray in the name of the one they called the Rabbi—the teacher—Jesus Christ. Amen.
