Prayer for the Week:
O Merciful Guide, as we enter a new week, we acknowledge those moments when we feel as if we are staring into an abyss and wondering if there is a way forward. In this Season of Lent, when we are slowing down to become more aware of our own breathing and your presence found within each breath, we begin to find both humility and peace. May this moment of prayer provide us with an opportunity to receive the divine breath, not only filling our lungs but our very lives. With such holy power, we are able to enter this day with a new conviction that what appears to be an unbridgeable chasm is nothing more than a momentary pause in our pursuit of Jesus and his way of love. Provide us with the faith to believe that you are already moving us to where we need to be, even if our current perspective cannot see that destination. We offer our prayer in an attitude of humility and peace. Amen.
