ECCLESIOLOGICAL ETCHINGS
March 10, 2025 Prayer for the Week: God of All Creation, we bear the divine image, and we are driven to unravel the profound implications of this belief. Not only does it shape our understanding of ourselves, but equally significant is how it influences our comprehension of every facet of your creation. You have declared it all to be good, and in Jesus, we have glimpsed the depth of your love for all. Your Spirit has gifted us with the capacity for empathy, compelling us to live for others and not simply with our own self-interest in mind. It is not easy, yet how else can I live if I claim that creation itself carries within it your image? Faith is nothing if it is only words. Anyone can spout rhetorical flourishes. Faith, exemplified in the faithfulness of Jesus, was always about letting one’s actions reveal one’s beliefs. I pray that my choices this day point to the good and sacred nature of all things, including the human beings with whom I walk the journey of life. Amen.
